I had surgery on Thursday the 9th of Feb. and i go back to the dr. on the 16th. I too am sore and bruised. So far I haven't had to take any pain meds for today. That is not saying for tonight. I have stuck with liquids so far until next week..then look out soft foods...best of luck to all who has has this done recently. Ladybluerose (Liz)

liz - congrats, congrats, congrats. i am one day ahead of you. I feel so sore on the one spot where the camera is ported, I suck in my breath when I stand up. Good for you one the meds..I went from 2 tablets to 1 about 4 times per day. I am totally a wimpo! I am doing liquids too - I bought some protein powder at gnc called Amplify - which really jumps up the protein intake. I have a little head hunger - especially looking at TV and magazines. I think when the drain comes out we get to go to puree - don't know for sure. I wish you the best of luck. I am not sleeping well lying down so I am napping in the recliner - it hurts too bad to get up from bed..... Tell me more how you're doing , I'll be here for a while.

I had mine done in sedailia and I had no tubes except when I came out of surgery and they took it out early the next morning. I am sore but I have tried to sleep in bed and so far success..I have another one to sleep in if it starts to bother me. I am on liquids til next thursday and then I go on soft food. I like you see the food on TV and want some so bad, but in time we will be able to have a little bit of it. Lets keep in touch and where are you at? I am at the Lake of the Ozarks..

I had my surgery with Dr. Hornbustle Nov. 4 and I have lost 72 pounds. I love him and he is willing to do anything for you so don't hesitate to call him if you need something--one of the nurses will help you. Make sure you follow your white book plan exactally what is says, unless you get the o.k. with Dr. H. I have had no complications no nausa or vomiting just make sure you get your protein and water (this will be difficult for you at first but do as much as you can). Make sure you don't pu**** your pouch is very sensitive and swollen, its like a baby's tummy. Right now I am sure you are thinking what did I get myself into. You will eventually start seeing results and it will be great! Have a great day and God bless, Penni
