Now it's time to pack. Any suggestions for an item you forgot but wish you had packed? We will be up way before dawn and at Barnes Hospital by 6am. Anyone who wants to find out how things are, my husband BRUCE can be reached at 314-306-3772 tommorrow. I am feeling anxious but excited....I really want a big, giant cheeseburger (but had some squash soup). Our only instruction is nothing after midnight.... Once again, thanks to everyone for all you support so far.... Angel Magee (aka Me Magee)

Angel, I really didn't need anything in the hospital. They provided everything. I know a lot of people suggest chapstick or something like it for dry lips. I love to read, so I took two books; so I would have a choice. I didn't read much, because I was groggy and there was too much activity to be able to concentrate. Best of luck to you. You will be so happy when you start posting the wow moments and weight losses. Linda

Good luck and may God be with you and especially your surgeon. I will pray for you. All I wanted after surgery was a big drink of water. I was so thirsty but all I could have was one tiny medicine cup of ice an hour. So I sucked on a wet dish rag. Time goes by fast in the hospital. I went in on Monday morning and left on Wednesday morning.

Just have to let you know you will be in my prayers tomorrow. Soon you will be on the losers side. Some chap stick comes in handy as you dont eat or drink till the next day. God bless you and keep you in his Care. Colette

I agree with David, all I wanted was water and sleep. I had my surgery on Monday and was groggy the rest of the day from the surgery and mostly just slept. I left Wednesday morning too. Just take your personal items and maybe some lip balm or Vaseline for your lips. I also brought a disposable camera to take some photos and I'm glad that I did so I could remember my room, me with my surgeon, and the nurses that took care of me. You'll do great. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers too. Take care, Cathy ObesityHelp Support Group Leader
