Been thinking...
The last support group was almost a month ago. I was down 25 pounds at that point. Now... almost one month later, I've only lost 5 more? What is wrong with me???
Feel really down at this point!
Don't think I want to come to the support group... I have nothing to show for a months worth of hard work... ~stacey
My angelette,
You and I both know that the support group meeting is where you need to be. You also know that you have found out that you are having a problem with you thyroid again. I know that this is very discouraging and I would feel the same way. I love you and would truely miss you if you didin't come, if you don't come for yourself come for me---PLEASE. I am calling you this morning if you are on here be ready for my call. You and I need to have some encouraging time. I love you and I will talk to you soon. Your angel, Penni
Some people are slow losers. Dont compare yourself with others, also you gotta move to lose. Up your exercise even if all you can do is walk. Walk a little more each day. The exercise really will help. If you feel good enough to do more than walk go to Curves or join the Ymca or a gym. They offer some fun classes at our localYMCA like dance classes, yoga , tai chi. Or if you can swin or even just walk around a swimming pool that helps and will help on down the line avoid some saggy skin.
This is when you NEED a suport group most. Support groups are not to show off how much weight we have lost, they are to be a SUPPORT when we need encouragement. The other poster said you were having trouble with your thyroid and you STILL lost 5 pounds. W/O this surgery you probably would have gained at least 5 pounds. Keep your spirits up, this will work for you. It has only been 2 months, give it time. My prayers are with you.
