I went and finally got into the gym last night (which I should have been doing all along). I drank all of my water and had 65 grams of protein yesterday. I weighed this morning and I had lost 3 pounds from yesterday. So happy! On question for all of you. I was told to have 1200 calories daily if I wanted to loose. Yesterday I only got 450. I am only 2 months and 3 weeks out. Having so few will that mess up my body or do I need to try to eat more? I thought we were suppse to get our protein so I have been concentrating on that. Wayne, I got my sample pack of unjury and was sorta disappointed. Last night I tried a choc. in some warm milk, that was o.k. Then this morning I tried to mix choc. with coffee and it WOULD NOT mix. I thought this stuff was suppose to mix well. Could you give any pointers on what I did wrong or is this stuff just like all the others? Everyone have a great day and God bless. Penni

I think you mixed me up with someone. I have never used unjury, I use NOW Foods Whey Isolate Protein http://www24.netrition.com/now_whey_protein_isolate_page.html and I use a magic bullet or blender to mix. I have heard that if you just stir with a spoon sometimes it clumps up. Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck. Wayne

good morning Wayne and I am always glad to see your smiling face. I actually sent in pictures for them to put on my site so one of these days my face will appear. Also for help with my profile. Hope you are doing great and feeling good. What are you eating now? Give us a sample of one of your days. Just like to hear how other doctors let their patients do. My daughter and son-in -law are both starting the process to have this surgery done? Have a great day and a special hello to April. Colette

Hey Colette. It will be nice to be able to put a face with your words. It is always better to see the people you chat with. I am feeling good and doing well. I have lost 42 pounds and am 5 weeks out. As for an average day I have a protien latte for breakfast, 2 ounces of potted meat (chicken, ham or roastbeef) and a small jar of babyfood veggies for lunch, 2 ounces of protien and cream of wheat for dinner, protien fruit smoothie around 8:00pm and water or Crystal Lite ALL day long. Tell your daughter and SiL I wish them well. I will tell April you said and I hope you are doing well. Wayne

I'm the Unjury girl.... you cannot mix it with hot hot liquids like coffee.. it literally cooks the protein and decreases the value of it to the extent it might even negate it. Call Jerome at Unjury and he will give you the scoop on that... But DON'T put it in hot hot liquids... warm at best... I would make some SF Instant Jello pudding and mix it in that... it is GOOD that way! Stick to the SF Da Vinci syrups *flavored* that you can get at wallyworld to flavor your coffee... they aren't expensive either!... they don't add protein but they DO add taste! E~

Penni, Glad you made it to the gym. I dont think 450 calories (one day) will hurt you but if you cut too deep you will hurt yourself and slow your weight loss. Besides you need certain things for your body such as 3 tsp of oil a day to protect your skin. I am actually hungry once in a while but usuallly when I dont keep myself on schedule. I cant help you on the protein drinks - I am bad with using them. I have been eating a lot of protein, cottage cheese, cheese, peanut butter, chilli, protein bars are my salvation. I at the present crave oranges, so I slice and suck out the juice. (sounds gross but whatever works) I am feeling great and my hubby has given me a new name.(close your ears wayne!!) Little butt (my new name) That is a compliment to me. LOL Penni - did you get the pictures yet? and the receipe I sent you? Have a great day. Colette

So proud of you! I had a hard time getting out of bed this morning... didn't make it to pilates class... Maybe next week. I'll do my treadmill after my appt at the fitness center to have my body fat and everything re-taken. Hopefully they'll start me on some weights. It was great talking w/you yesterday! Dr. H's office didn't manage to call bac****il after we left for dinner last night... so, I've put another call in. I did get another email this morning... My HgA1c is 6.0!!! That means that I don't have diabetes! I haven't take meds for it since three days before surgery! Yipppeeee.... Being today is Thursday... I measured. Down 27 inches and a total of 57 pounds. I'll be 8 weeks out tomorrow. I'm doing my best to drink my protein shakes every morning. Still haven't tried the Unjury samples. Kinda afraid... Maybe this weekend I'll make a "special" treat for the family! Keep up the good work, Angel of Mine! ~Stac

Stacey, Just had to post you a note and say congrats on your progress. You went in 2 weeks after me and my loss is 51pounds. Which just goes to show we are all at different rates. I just wanted to tell you I am so proud of you and keep up the good work. Colette

Hi there Colette! Thanks for responding. The 57 pounds lost is with an additional 25 I gained in water weight. I figure... it was on my scale from day 1... I should get to include it! Right? I just got back from the fitness center. They added weights to my work out. I'm down 9% body fat... wi**** were more... their scales only show me down 13 pounds from a month ago. I found out yesterday that my thyroid is messed up. Hopefully I get the additional medication I need and will get out of this "stall"... still not losing 2 1/2 weeks now. Grr... Congrats on your great work! ~Stacey

Hi Penny, I drink my unjury in my coffee each morning. I do slightly cool my coffee with a small ice cube. Then I add the unjury and stir and have no clumps. Dr. Scotts office said this is fine! Marla 335/276/138
