Got a call from dr. Hodges today that my chest xray came back with a spot on one of my lungs. I have to go for a CT. Anyone else have this happen? He said it's usually just scar tissue from bronchitis or pneumonia in the past. He didn't seem at all concerned, which made me glad, Only...I've never had either, of those conditions so I'm a bit nervous. I used to smoke in the past. I had half a thyroidectomy three years ago and sailed through the chest xray pre-op. Any thoughts? Tracey Bateman

Tracey, My mother always said "dont buy trouble" - that means see what it is before worrying too much about it. My husbands grandmother is 92 and still goes out to sing karaoke in NYC recently had a chest xray where they discovered a spot. They said it had been there a long time and turned out to be nothing - just a piece of scar tissue. But they couldn't tell without further tests. Keep positive thoughts and may yours be scar tissue too (if you can get it in the shape of elvis - maybe you can sell the CT scan on ebay!). Sorry, I hope that humor doesn't offend you. Best wishes

Humor doesn't bother me. I write funny books for a living. Thanks for taking time to respond. I'm sure I'll be fine too. If it's shaped like Elvis, I hope it Won't Be Cruel, but will Love me Tender, so I can do this My way and have surgery when I want it. Tracey

Sweetie, I know that this is a time of panic but give it to God and He will give you comfort and piece. When do you find out what it is? I will keep you in my prayers. Love and God bless, Penni

I agree with the other poster "don't buy trouble". I will pray it is nothing. When are you supposed to go for further testing? Wayne
