Good Morning Linda I am up and dragging my big ol rump around with me today. I got home this morning around 3am. They sent my mother home on Friday. We scrubbed her house from top to bottom and trust me I am feeling it today. I hurt in places I didnt even know existed. It was so good to be home in my own bed even for a few hours. Thanks for all the prayers and all the encourgeing words while I was out. You are all loved very very much!!! God Bless Melissa P.S. I am to be starting my all liqius diet here in the next day or so. Any suggestions?? I know I am suppose to have at least 5 protein shakes or drinks. Plus all the water, sugar-free koolaid, jello, popcycles, crystal light, broth ect I want. I just didnt know if it would be less expensive if I did the all ready made shakes. Or if I got the power and mixed them. Any suggestions anyone??

Melissa, We are so glad you are home and that your mother is doing better. I am heading back to Illinois tonight, so I can take my mom to appointments with two different doctors tomorrow. It ws my experience that it is much less expensive to make the shakes. For convenience though, I did buy the Atkins shakes. The company said some time ago it was going to stop making them, so I don't know how easy they are to find any more. I used to buy them at Wal-Mart. If you go to GNC, you will pay a lot more for those same shakes. Good luck to you. I know you have been on this journey for a while already. We are all wishing the best for you. Linda

A tad bit late...but nevertheless still here! Got home from work (yippity yeah that I don't work at the "food place" tonight).. the preceding comment is a bettyism for those wondering. One of my few days that I only work ONE job ... so I'm maximizing it and doing a ton of laundry! Getting ready to make some din din but haven't figured out just WHAT to fix. I'm in a carniverous mood tonight. I WANT MEAT!!!! Mike and I had a wonderful time in Springfield yesterday.. Hit one of my fav. resale shops D.A.V. thrift stores... found a couple of tops and a bunch of my lined workout pants ... only paid 1-2 bucks a piece for them. I wholeheartedly recommend this shop ... it is HUGEMONGOUS and they can get pretty darn busy at times... on North Glenstone in Springfield just past Division street... they are even open on Sundays til 6 p.m.!.... good good place to go.... I was going to go to the SG tonight (back in Springfield) but I sat down and thought it out. Not only would that put me going BACK to Springfield two days in a row ( 1 1/2 hour drive one way) BUT the main reason is that this SG will not include your spouse and/or/family S-other. It is for those that are past 1 year postop. I will probably sound off some of my feelings in a post of it's own... but this is really bugging me... the exclusion of those that are KEY to long term success.. and the way that they would be treated. Just not right in my book... ahhhh well, like I said- I will save that for it's own post.... Hope everyone had a grand day! I know that I did! Elizabeth~
