Tomorrow will be two weeks on this "stall"... I've continued doing everything I'm supposed to do. I've even added in protein shakes! I've been to the fitness center. I do my walking. I get very close to all my water in. I'M SOOOO VERY FRUSTRATED! I don't know what to do. I really feel like I'm "losing" it... in my mind. What can I do??? I've called the doctors office. They tell me it's normal. But I don't think they understand what it's doing to my spirit. Any suggestions???? Thank you! ~Stac

Stacey... One of the things that helped me (and continues to help) is to make sure that you are taking regular scheduled measurements. The tape measure will show changes when the scale is not. Just believe in yourself and keep doing what you KNOW is right. The lbs. will come off. I don't believe that there has been a person out there who has had this WLS that hasn't been in your shoes. Frustrating beyond belief.. but that is what we are here for. To lift each other up in times like this. I am proud of you honey! Keep up the good work! Elizabeth~

Hey Stacey I have been doing the very same thing. I know how frustrated you are. I feel like I am the only person this surgery is not going to work for. The doctor told me the same thing. I stalled for over 2 weeks and then one day I lost 2 pounds and 2 days later another 2. But now I haven't lost again in a week. But I am sure the inches are coming off, as my clothes are so baggy. I don't know what to think either as I am doing all I am suppose to do. I don't really do the protein shakes, but do the protein bars and make sure that everything I eat has some protein in it. I get up before 5am and do the treadmill. We just have to keep doing what we are doing, it has to work. It did for everyone else. You hang in there. We can do this together. Have you ever been on the November 2005 message board? I have been on the December 2005 board and we are not alone. You take care. Barb

dear dear stacey, Please dont get discouraged!!!! Sounds like you are doing great. Please do not get on the scales every day. do not. I just went through a stall, and then in one week I dropped 6 pounds. and 3 days later 2 more pounds. If you are eating like you should and doing everything you will lost. I know it messes up your head, but try to overcome it. I am on regular foods now and it still happens. It is just your body and all the changes it is dealing with. We did not gain all the weight in 3 months either. I have noticed that if my protein is between 50-60 I feel fantastic. Colette

I just came off of a 10 day stall. I think everyone hits a stall about 3-4 weeks out. It is our bodies natural reaction to the severe weight loss we are experiencing. Keep doing what you are doing and you will start losing again. Try to keep positve and know that hundreds of thousands of people have been right where you are now and came through it fine Wayne

Stacey, I know what you are going through. I had a major stall back when I was about where you are. It took me 3 weeks to get through it, but then the weight loss kicked back in. I am at another slow stretch, it is very frustrating. Hang in there, keep doing what you are told to do. It will move soon. Elaine
