I'm going to a seminar tomorrow morning in Columbia, MO. I think it's with Dr. Scott. I'm really nervous about it. Is anyone here planning on going? Do you have any advice for me? Amanda

I have not been to this seminar but if its anything like the one I went to then you have nothing to be nervous about. These are informational seminars and are very useful in deciding to have and preparing for surgery. Make sure that if you have ANY questions that you write them down so you do not forget to ask them. Enjoy and have fun, everybody there is in the same boat. Wayne

I have been to the informational seminar held by Dr. Scott and his staff. It was wonderful and very helpful. It helped me make the decision to go forward with surgery. Good Luck!!

Amanda, There is nothing to be nervous about. The seminar is a great way to determine if surgery is right for you. Dr. Scott and his staff are great. You will like them. He is a pretty serious guy, and he will tell it like it is. He doesn't want to operate on anyone who is not fully informed about the surgery and his program. He will tell you what can happen if you do not follow the program, particularly eat right, drink enough water, and take those vitamins. It's a lifetime commitment, and he wants everyone to know that. Sit back, take notes and you will learn a lot. It's a great experience. My husband went with me, and the seminar convinced him I was right to want the surgery. Good luck!! Linda

Amanda I just went to the seminar in Columbia, back in Dec. My Doc is Dr. Pitt. Don't be nervous it's exciting and gets you motivated. I want to get started with some support groups soon maybe we will be at the same one sometime. Jane
