I am wondering if any of you know where you can get samples of the protein shakes or drinks? I am waiting for my doctors to get back to me for a confrence but am thinking positive about getting approved. I thought if i got several different types to test after surgery it would be good. I have tried some in the past and what i tried was nasty. lol

you'll be amazed what is nasty & what is good after surgery. lol. i drink the "nector protein shakes" i really enjoy the lemon ice tea. they have several kinds to chose from. it cost 45.00 for a container but it last me for the whole month. and if you think about it if that is what you drink & don't buy soda, tea, etc then the cost isn't too bad. good luck in your surch. God bless, Brenda

Lots of companies send out samples. Unijury will send some look on this site. Susan Maries company sends out some too. I have been told GNC will let you take back product you dont like. There are some websites that seel out of date product real cheap. I went to a new salvage and discount grocery store today and they had tons of low carb stuff real cheap. They had keto shake mix for a dollar a can. It had 26 grams of protien. Try the salvage and discount groceries in your area to find bargains. This store I found today in Hollister MIssouri had tons of atkins baking mixes like muffin pancake and protien bars all real cheap.

Hi Jan, Dr. Hodges and Dr. Edwards of St. John's have the New Beginnings Support Group. Our next meeting is Monday, February 13, 2006, at the St. John's Surgery Center, Classroom 4B, 1229 E. Seminole, Springfield, Missouri. We meet from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Our regular meetings are the second Monday of every month. The New Beginnings Support Group is for weight loss surgery pre and post-op patients, their support members or anyone wanting to obtain information on weight loss surgery. We welcome pre-op patients, post-op patients, family members, and the general public. You may be a part of our group regardless of where you have had your surgery, and you don't have to be a patient to attend. The speaker for February is Carmen Boyd, RD, LPC. She will be discussing "Food and Mood". It is a wonderful meeting and I hope you can join us. I look forward to meeting you! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need additional information. Cathy

The store in Hollister is on Industrial dr past the YMCA behing Lowes. Go there and try some of the products. But remember your pre op and post op tastes will be different. If you like something now you may hate it as a post op. Its weird how your taste buds will change. I think its called Taney County Salvage and Grocery. I am going back to stock up when I get paid the first of the month. Sorry I just noticed you were fairly close to this store.

try the vitalady.com I was able to order samples around 1.69 for 2 scoops, which comes out around 23 gm pro a serving. the chocolate taste like chocolate skim milk, and the nectur tropical and other fruits are good also.
