How often is too often?
My paperwork was mailed off and I confirmed that my insurance company has it. I have been calling them at least twice a week for the past three weeks to check my status, and they keep telling me I am "still pending". Someone told me that I need to keep on them every day so they don't forget about me. I have Great West Open Access, has anyone had experience with them and if so how long did it take to get approval? I am going crazy here, I know it can take up to 6 weeks but I may lose my mind before then LOL!
Never mind, I just called and found out I am APPROVED!!!!!!!!
The customer service rep. said she couldn't tell me officially because my case manager had not updated the system to approved status. She said the Medical Director approved it on January 11th and my case manager just has not put it in yet. She transferred me to the case manager and I left a message to get the status, she said that may tip her off that she hasn't updated the system yet! I am so happy right now I want to cry, dance and scream.
Once I get the official letter I will be able to schedule my surgery. Thank you all for your support and prayers it has really paid off!
