SORRY IT HAS BEEN SO LONG SINCE I HAVE POSTED ANYTHING. HOWEVER I WAS RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL CHRISTMAS NIGHT WITH SUPER SEVERE LOWER STOMACH PAINS AND AFTER SOME TEST AND ALL FOUND THAT MY APPENDIXS DEFINATLY NEEDED TO BE REMOVED. SO THAT TOOK PLACE AND I GOT TO COME HOME ON NEW YEARS DAY AND I AM FEELING MUCH BETTER. I AM NOW DOWN LESS THAN I WAS IN THE FRESHMAN YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL. I COULDNT BE HAPPIER NOW I HAVE FOUND ME A VERY GREAT GUY AND WE HAVE BEEN SEEING EACH OTHER NOW FOR A LITTLE OVER A MONTH. NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD EVER FIND A GUY THAT WOULD WANT ME BECAUSE I WAS FAT. I COULDNT BE HAPPIER NOW THOUGH. I AM FINDING MORE AND MORE EVERY DAY THAT I CAN NOT TOLERATE AS FAR AS FOOD. LIKE ANYTHING CHOCOLATE, LETTUCE, CABBAGE, TUNA, BREAD. AND I AM FINDING IT HARD TO GET ALL MY WATER AND PROTEIN IN EACH DAY BECAUSE I AM FLAT OUT NEVER HUNGRY. I DO GOOD IF I EAT ONE MEAL A DAY WHICH I KNOW ISNT GOOD. IF ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT IS GOOD AND HAS ALOT OF PROTEIN PLEASE LET ME KNOW. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ALL THE HELP. CINDY 557/300

Cindy... I'm really happy that things are turning around in your life and that you are experiencing so many joys (NOT TALKING BOUT' THE HOSPITAL PART NEITHER') *lol* It looks like you are just a little over 4 months out right? Honey, if so, why are you already experimenting with chocolate, bread, cabbage, lettuce??? I was going to be using Dr. Scott until I switched and I have his protocol.. I don't believe that those things are on it... Not flaming you just trying to give you a nudge back on the straight and narrow which is where you should be. You should be making very good habits RIGHT NOW to serve you the rest of your life. Trust me on this one. If you don't you will be one of the other several posters that we see regularly wanting to know WHAT HAPPENED down the road... they are gaining weight, fighting food demons left and right and are totally bewildered and lost. Nip it in the bud right now and you will be so much happier. High protein choices that are good for you are some of the following. Cottage cheese, string cheese, yogurt (check the sugar levels), Blue Bunny Carb Freedom yogurt smoothies *I love these*.. UNJURY proteins (visit www.unjury.com) YOU HAVE TO EAT... If you don't you will pay the price... and that price can include permanent nerve damage and damage to your vital organs. I know I'm being blunt but this is your life we are talking about. Your heart is a muscle and one that needs protein as well. THINK ABOUT IT.. Take care of yourself kiddo and I hope that you get to feeling better soon! Elizabeth~

You must get your protien in and try to eat at least 3 meals a day or you can cause permanent damage to yourself or you could die. I know of a 21 year old woman who did not take care of herself. She didnt take vitamins and get her protien down. She had a massive heart attack and died. LIke the previous poster said cottage cheese has lots of protien and sits on the pouch very well. Cheese is great, protien shakes are great. You can go to GNC and buy a protien that is like kool aid . It is pricey but has 40 grams for a bottle. Its ok if it takes you all day to drink it. Have you tried south beach products or atkins products? They are both very good and good for us. The south beach meal replacement bars have 20 grams of protien and taste like a rice krispie treat. If it takes 3 or 4 hours to eat one that is ok. If you cant eat much at a time just graze all day if you have to to get your protien down. When not eating protien carry water will you all the time and sip on it all the time. If you dont get your water and protien in you will feel lousy. You can even buy unflavored protien powder and put it in whatever you do eat. It will help.

Hello Cindy. Elizabeth and David have given you good advice I just want to encourage you to eat. I don't feel hungry either but I make myself eat at least 3 times a day because I have to. When we decided to have this surgery we agreed to a lifestyle change and it is on us to do the things we have to to make us a success. I know you can do it and look forward to hearing good reports in the future. You go girl. Wayne

Hi Cindy, It's so good to see you back online. You are doing so well on your weight loss. Dr. Scott also lets me have salads, cabbage.etc. I haven't tried sweets yet and don't think I will. Sounds like life is really looking up for you. So glad to hear that you recovered from your surgery. Please keep in touch as I miss you! Marla 335/278/138
