St. John's Pre-op testing?

Hello all, thanks to everyone who congratulated me on getting my surgery date. I was going through old size 10s last night!!! For the first time in years I see that I might actually finally get the help I need to lose this weight. I go for pre-op testing at the hospital on Monday. Anyone from Springfield area who can tell me what to expect? I'm also having a gall bladder ultrasound. Thanks! Tracey Bateman

Tracey, I had Dr Hodges. I like him and he is very good. I had the gall bladder ultrasound. As far as the other tests go. Blood test, Chest xray and he got results of other tests from my pcp. The day before my surgery his office called and told me that my surgery had to be postponed because of my heart. They needed to do another test. Luck was with me as I had this test less than a year ago so I didn't have to have it done and surgery was done. Call Mary if you have any questions she is the best. Thanks for responding, Connie. Do they do a routine EKG, or only if the chest x-ray shows a need? Just wondering. My surgery is two and a half weeks from when I have the pre-op testing (monday) so I'm hoping that if there are additional tests needed that they will get those results soon enough not to postpone the surgery. Just read your profile. Did upping the protein seem to help your weight loss? Tracey
