Cassandra Thanks. I just checked out your profile, and I am very impressed with your determination to get to the seminar. Determination is very important in this process. There is a lot to do after surgery to keep yourself well, and you it's very important to stick with your doctor's program. Your children are darling, and they should be a great inspiration to you. Just think of all the things you will be able to do with and for them after your surgery. Being thinner and healthier makes things so much better. Good luck to you and keep us posted!! Linda

Thank you for your post Linda! And thank you for the compliment on my kiddos....they definitely are my pride and joy. I know that I owe me having a healthier life to them as well. I was apprehensive at first because I was afraid something would go wrong and they could possibly live without me. I have since had my fears calmed by coming to this site often and listening to others that have experience WLS already. I now feel like I will be doing this for my kiddos as well as myself. There are so many things that I have missed out on already. I have some making up to do with my family. Yes, after reading the reviews for Dr. H., I knew I had to see this surgeon in person. When I first visited OH's website, I was looking into a specific surgeon. Well my comfort level with that surgeon did not pan out. So I started sifting through other surgeon and I started reading reviews from different surgeon's patients. I found Dr. H's to be the most impressive, all of his patients spoke very highly of him, his confidence level and his after care program. I soon found out after I started coming to OH that a good aftercare program and a surgeon that is really closely involved with his patients, will help to ensure success with WLS. I am totally committed to following whatever my surgeon's program calls for. And from what I've heard and read, Dr. H. has a no nonsense program and he expects certain things of all of his patients (he also conveyed that at the seminar) and that's what I'm looking for in a surgeon. He is the only one that was closets to home for me that was very impressive to me. I can't wait to begin my journey with him and his staff. I will definitely keep everyone posted. Have a great rest of the weekend, Linda! Cassandra

Colette, Life has been pretty busy for me too lately. I'm glad your husband is doing better now. Tomorrow I am going to Illinois, so I can go to a doctor's appointment with my dad on Monday. He has been sick (in hospitals and a nursing home) since 10/24. He is 85 years old, but bless him, he is doing better now. I am hopeful the doctor's appointment will give us a good idea of when he might be able to come home. Linda
