Springfield Support Group

How often will you be meeting? I totally brain-farted. I could have driven down or stayed for a long weekend to attend. I really wish there were more meetings to attend here w/the Sedalia group?? Anyone? Any suggestions??? Found myself talking w/someone in West Virginia yesterday about her surgery 4 years ago... Love to read/hear stories about this surgery. ~Stac

I think it would be great to have more support in this area too. You know we can have a support group anytime we want. All we have to do is get people together. There is Patty from Knob, Colette, you, me others that may want to come. Maybe we could see what people think. See you Thursday? God bless, Your angel

Hello Stacey, you missed a really good group last night. We meet in Springfield every 2nd Monday of the month at the St Johns Surgery Center on E Seminole, 4th floor room 4B from 5:30 to 7:00. Hope to see you at the next meeting. Wayne

The support group in Springfield is starting an additonal group the fourth monday of the month for all 1 year and up post ops only. There also will be seminars on different related topics throughout the year. Kathy Wilson has more information. There was an excellent turn out and you and get lots of good tips from us old post ops. They also are starting a mentoring program to match up pre ops and new post ops with people over 1 year out. I brought some sample protien shakes I had and shared with some other people wanting them.

I attended the Sedelia meeting for the first time last week. I had an appointment with Dr. H for an endoscope and stayed for the meeting. Due to travel considerations, I am looking into starting a support group closer to FT. Leonard Wood. Did you know you can take OH support group leader training through the Chapter leader portal? I just completed training with Monica Ganz from OH support groups this past weekend. It was very informative. I too like to talk to others and view their profiles on OH. Kathy
