need help

Hello everyone. I have been refused after my first letter to the insurance company. I am still trying to fight them. Can you please give me some ideas of what to write in terms of the appeals letter? I know they are thinking I am wanting it for cosmetic reasons, and is so not the case. Can someone please give me a draft of a letter that got you approved for the surgery. I have so many friends willing to write letters, they just need to know in what direction to write it. TIA, Kimberly

Kimberly, I just want to encourage you to keep fighting do not give up. I don't have a copy of an appeal letter but if I was you I would post a request on the main message board. I have seen many appeal letters there. Good luck and I will be praying for you. Wayne

Kimberly, I don't have an appeal letter but, wanted to maybe suggest that you lean on your surgeon's staff for help. What surgeon did you have your consult with? I know my surgeon has an awesome nurse...nurse nancy...and still at almost 1.5 yrs post-op..if I'm unsure about my diet or ANYTHING wls related...I shoot her an email. She has never not responded to me and if she doesn't know an answer...she tells me where to get help. Good luck, Kelli

Check with obesity lawyers and see what advise they give you. I just read a post on the main message board about someone who used them and got approval. You probable can find an appeal letter draft from someone on the main messageboard DONT GIVE UP DO WHATEVER YOU HAVE TO DO TO GET YOU WLS
