Here is a post made by one of the persons in charge of the group...it's a very good group...wish I could come but, I have a 1pm post-op visit in Columbia. I just don't think I'll be back in time. If you know where St. John's main hospital is then the surgery center is just right accross the street from it. Hope this helps! Kelli ******************************************************* Happy New Year! I wanted to remind everyone that the next meeting of the New Beginnings Support Group is scheduled to meet Monday, January 9, 2006, at the St. John's Surgery Center, Classroom 4B, 1229 E. Seminole, Springfield, Missouri. We meet from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Our regular meetings are the second Monday of every month. The New Beginnings Support Group is for weight loss surgery pre and post-op patients, their support members or anyone wanting to obtain information on weight loss surgery. We welcome pre-op patients, post-op patients, family members, and the general public. You may be a part of our group regardless of where you have had your surgery, and you don't have to be a patient to attend. This month's speaker is Katie Branson, ACSW, LCSW, CASAC. Katie has extensive experience in the field of addiction and food issues, and is now a valuable addition to the St. John's Bariatric Program. This meeting will be a great way to start your New Year off to a healthy, positive start. I look forward to seeing everyone on Monday, the 9th! Thanks, Cathy
