Help FirstGuard

I just found out that my surgeon is no longer accepting Firstguard. My husband needs the surgery and I'm having trouble finding a surgeon who takes medicaid. I had my lap band done at Truman in KC. Any advice would be helpful! Thanks Janet in KC

Hi Janet, I live in Lee's Summit, but my Dr. is in Shawnee Mission KS. I am not sure if they take your insurance but they are wonderful to work with and Dr. Hoehn is an EXCELLENT surgeon. Here is a link to their site . www.kcbariatric.com Good Luck, Tara 289/175/150

Hi Janet, I haven't had the surgery yet but I have been looking through the LOCAL RESOURCES area on this site, upper right hand corner in yellow bar. Click link and on the US map, click on Missouri and it should take you to a clickable for surgeons in the area. You can scroll down under each surgeons profile to see what insurances they have taken in the past. Or you could call the different surgeons and ask if they take your insurance. There is also a place at the top, in the yellow bar above about insurers. If you click on that there are insurances in alphabetical order, once you get to F-for Firstguard if someone from this site has ever used this insurance, you can click on their name and see which surgeon they used.
