Reminder - New Beginnings Support Group Mtg., Springfield, MO

Happy New Year! I wanted to remind everyone that the next meeting of the New Beginnings Support Group is scheduled to meet Monday, January 9, 2006, at the St. John's Surgery Center, Classroom 4B, 1229 E. Seminole, Springfield, Missouri. We meet from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Our regular meetings are the second Monday of every month. The New Beginnings Support Group is for weight loss surgery pre and post-op patients, their support members or anyone wanting to obtain information on weight loss surgery. We welcome pre-op patients, post-op patients, family members, and the general public. You may be a part of our group regardless of where you have had your surgery, and you don't have to be a patient to attend. This month's speaker is Katie Branson, ACSW, LCSW, CASAC. Katie has extensive experience in the field of addiction and food issues, and is now a valuable addition to the St. John's Bariatric Program. I've written it in my calendar. Of all topics, food addiction is one that I am very interested in. Even though the surgery was successful for me, I still have an addiction problem with food. I will try my hardest to make it there! ~~Kristen

I just wish that I could come. My work hours won't let me. I sure need a support group. Connie

My wife and I plan on coming and I have invited some new people. Dont know if any will come or not. We came once before and enjoyed it, but christmas season in Branson kept us too busy. Now that were laid off we have the time and arent so pooped.
