I just recently got back online. I am over two years post op. I have regained about 25 which I am working on losing again. I have started drinking protien shakes again. I couldnt stand them for a long time but they seem to taste pretty good now. I ordered some fruit ones from obesity help and even ate a protien bar yesterday that I liked. It was from South Beach diet. I guess my taste buds have changed again. I started walking again and I am going to join the ymca this week and do some biking and use the treadmill. If you dont move you dont lose. I had thought I could eat whatever I wanted to since I dont eat much but that is not so and you have to get some exercise in. Being a lazy boy doesnt work. I am not going to wear fat clothes again ever. I like wearing regular clothes and not looking like a beached whale anymore. I want to take most of this weight off before I go see my surgeon January 19.

I'm here as well...I've lost around 100 and haven't gained or lost anything in a long time. I've had some orthopedic surgery here recently soooo I'm not walking right now...50% weight with a walker! I can't do very much to help boost my weight loss. I'm just really trying to watch what I eat right now...I know that with not exercising and with lack of mobility....I can't afford for my eating habits to get crazy. It's nice to see you happy/content Marsha and I know you've had a difficult time these past few months. Please keep us updated about your upcoming little one. Take care, Kelli

I'm here. Been gone a few days to Kansas City for a conference. Now, I'm just waiting for the New Year to ring itself in. Anyway, I've lost 140 lbs but haven't lost anymore in awhile. The scale showed a 1.5 lbs lost this AM but I'm waiting to see if it is still the same tomorrow morning. Anyway, I started Curves about a month ago hoping it would jumpstart my weight loss again and it has my weight sort-of rocking down a few lbs and then back up a few lbs. So, I can't say I've really lost any more but I think I'm headed in the right direction. I'd like to at least lose 50 more lbs. I'd be excited with 75 and ecstatic if I lost 100 more. But, if I stay where I'm at, I will also be content. I can do so much more now. My left knee is really giving me fits though. They say it is arthritis. I can't climb stairs without holding on to a rail. This weekend we were at the KC Music Hall and got there late so we had to climb into the rafters. I needed to hold on to my hubby or son just to get up the stairs. I felt like an old lady! Anyway, I have to go back to the doc at the end of Jan. and I'll see what she says. I can't help but think that another 50 lbs off the knee would really help! Good to see that you're doing well. Teresa

I'm here too! Although I didn't have my surgery here in St. Louis, I thought I'd check out the local board. I am a few months over 4 yrs post op and down 150 lbs and fluctuate within 5 lbs of my goal of 155. I had the Open RnY in AZ in 2001. I can pretty much eat anything but lately I'm seeing that some things can give me a problem. I'm attributing that to the fact that I'm at my goal and my body kind of likes it here! lol Its keeping me honest at least! If anyone is in the St. Louis (West County) area and would like to get a local support group going I'd love to head it up... any takers? You can email me privately at [email protected] or you can post here... I'd love to meet some of you! OH! before I forget.. I've been seeing Dr. Valerie Halpin for follow ups here in St. Louis. She's Dr. Eagin (sp?)'s partner! Anyone know her? Best Wishes for a Wonderful happy new year! Steph 9/27/01 300/ 155/155 Phoenix, AZ (then) St. Louis, MO (now)

I'm here too! It's been almost 2 yrs since my surgery and i've lost 130 lbs! I love my lap band and life is good. I'm down to 190 and rarely stay home anymore. Hubby and I ride motorcycles together and this warm winter weather is giving me a lot of opportunities to get in the wind. Also going back to college and finishing up what i started a long time ago.
