Hi everyone! Just stopping in to see how things are in here. I read alot, but dont really post replies too much. Glad to see that most are doing well as planned. I am usually online daily, so if anyone would like to say "hello" please feel free! Hoping for my initial consult shortly. I have turned in all of my paperwork, and just waiting for the phone call. As many have stated, this waiting is totally crazy! LOL I wish I could say I am passed all of this and the surgery, and already on the losing side, but then I would have no "wonderful" memories to keep me in check, and to remind me of what I went through to get there, so I guess I just need to be patient. Many great wishes for the New Year! Danetta

I just live down the road from you. I am 3 weeks post-op today and doing good. I am actually in Florida as I write this visiting my daughter and her husband who is in the Air Force. The drive down was kinda long, but I did okay. You have a great doctor. He did an outstanding job with me. NO complications at all. I have done very well since surgery. You just have to do everything that he ask you to do. There is a reason for doing it. ANy questions, let me know. Take care Barb

Barb, I will remember you said that... ...you may have wished that you never offered. LOL I am a total wimp when it comes to certain things, and always seem to look for every piece of information I can get my hands on, including in other people brains! But seriously, thank you for the kind words. It is great to hear that you are doing so well. Keep me posted! Hugs, Danetta

Danetta Hello, Welcome neighbor. I am west of you but I travel thro Republic all the time when I go to my parents house in West Plains. Come out of the closet and post more often. We would love to hear from you. We need more people who will talk on this board. Sometime we tend to be a bet boring. lol So we could use some good chatter. I agree the waiting is what kills me also. I have my consult done, my Pysyc Eleva. Now all I am really needing to do is lose my required weight and wait for a date. AAaarrrrrggggg Feel free to pop in anytime and drop us a line or two. We like to see more people coming out to visit with us here. God Bless Melissa

Hi Melissa! Thanks for the kinds words, and I am pretty sure you will hear more from me now. I can't think of a time when I have been more determined to accomplish a goal, and now that the appointments are being made, I know insurance will pay, and everyone around me is supportive, I am that much more determined, if that is possible. It seems the more I learn, the more I am ready to get this show on the road to losing....I know you feel the same. I wish you success in your goal for your appointment! I am cheering for ya!! Hugs, Danetta

Hello Danetta, It is nice to have someone new to the crowd. While reading your post it took me back to when I was waiting on a date for surgery. I thought I would never be almost 2 months out. Now I am and it really dosen't seem like that long since I was in your situation. Hopefully soon you will be joining us on the loosing side. Hang in there and God Bless, Penni

Welcme and did you know there is a wls support group in Springfield. I have gone once and plan on going back. It helps to go to a support group. The group meets the second monday of the month at 5 30 pm at St Johne outpatient surgery building in Springfield. Its not easy getting everything going but is is worth it. I live down in Branson. My wife has had wls also. We had ours surgeries in Batesville, Arkansas.
