Finally feeling a little better

You know, I did not expect hernia repair to be worse than all the other surgeries I have had... but it is! I did get up and walk quite a bit in the hospital afterwards, but once I got home, I was in pain-city! I have never been on routine pain meds for this long ever. But finally, I am feeling well enough to get on the computer again. I see alot has been going on over the last 10 days or so. Congratulations Wayne I am so happy to see all went well with your surgery! I too have some great news. I went to get those staples removed today and am down a total of 112 lbs and actually UNDER 300! I just cant believe it. On January 6th, I will be 7 months out. Well, anyways, I will quit blabbering. Darlene Welcome back it is good to see you again. I know what you mean about hernia repairs. I think sometimes we forget just how much we do use our stomach muscles. Glad to hear you are feeling better. I read your posts and it sounded like you were uncomfortable. Congrats on the weight loss - I can't wait to start the numbers with a 2 (under 3--)...Pat yourself on the back.

You will be there soon enough, although it probably feels like an eternity away, it really isnt. Hang in there and keep checking the boards for new info and support when you need it. These guys are great!! Thanks for the congrats, but I wont pat myself on the back just yet because most of the time I eat what I am not supposed to and alot of times feel like I dont deserve to be doing as well as I am. Thanks, I know I dont come on here near as often as I used to, I mostly lurk around and see what everyone else has to say. Ya Know, I didnt even realize I had any muscles under all this fat until this surgery lol. But it is definitely true that those stomach muscles are used to do EVERYTHING. After I had this done it hurt to ... here we go lol cough pee poopy (gross but true) fart (eww) laugh walk lay on my stomach, back, side, heck just give me a recliner! stand up sit down sneeze (the worst) breath Like I said.. everything hurts lol. I am able to go back to work though, when I feel up to it that is. I told them I wanted to at least be able to stand up straight before going back, so hopefully I can get back to work next Wednesday.
