Remember why we celebrate Christmas!

Are you running everywhere trying to get that last gift (or just starting getting all of your gifts)? Take time to remember why we even have Christmas, it is the birth of Christ that we are celebrating. How would you like having your birthday and no one wishing you are happy birthday or just ignoring you all together. Jesus wants us to remember His day. We are in the season of advent, remembering the birth of Christ and looking for His second coming when He comes to take thoughs of us who know Him to himself where we will live forever with Him in a place He has made for us. Just remember in all the hustle and bustle stop and thank our heavenly father for sending the gift of His son to save us and protect us through life itself. This is something I have to remember everyday and I have to stop and sit in silence and thank God for His many blessings and expecially what He did along time ago when the baby Jesus was born. Thie is why I LOVE THIS SITE. Not only do I find support for my weight loss journey but I also find support in my spiritual life. Thank you for this post and I also pray that we don't get so busy that we forget the true meaning of Christmas. Wayne

You are SO, SO right. Brought tears to my eyes. I prayed so hard, as did many of my friends and family, that my surgery would go well. And it did!! No complications at all. The doc told my husband that the surgery was "textbook". Can't ask for more. My belief carried me through. I wish more people would remember what Christmas is about. It has become to commerical. I can't wait for midnight Mass. Bless you as well. Barb
