What should I be eating

Today is day 5 post-op. I just returned from the doctor and he took my drain out. Yeah, it didn't even hurt. I am still doing just clear liquids. He told me to just do liquids for 2 weeks, but I am not sure if I should be adding new things now? I had lost 4.5 pounds so far. That makes a total of 36 since I began this process in August. I fell really good, no pain, no nausea. I did have a body rash and he said that was from the pain meds, so I will just quit it, I don't need it anyway. I have been walking a lot here at home. Everything seems to be going okay. I would kind of like to try some new liquids. What do you all think? Blessings. Barb

Honey, I am sorry to tell you this but you really shouldn't have anything but clear liquids until your doc tells you you can go on. In the middle of the second week I started eating yogurt, cream soups, liquidy mashed potatos, stuff like that. Did your surgeon give you a specific diet to follow? Don't give up because it gets better as time goes on. I had my surgery Nov. 4 and have lost 40 pounds. It came off pretty fast so don't give up you will get there and you will be eating somewhat normal soon. God Bless, Penni
