Hello all. Not much going on here today I'm just sitting here enjoying a protien latte and wishing that if it was going to be cold anyway that we would have 2 feet of snow. I hate the cold but I love the snow I only have 2 more weeks untill my surgery date so I'm getting pretty excited over that. Did anyone else notice that as your date got closer that your patients got shorter. I am excited about the surgery but I seem to be snapping at the littlest stupidest things. I hope it gets better because I don't like getting upset, it ruins my day and the persons day that I get upset at (usually my wife or kids). Oh well, I hope everyone has a GREAT Friday and an even better weekend. Wayne

Wayne; You are so normal it's funny. I was rather "*****y" for 2 weeks before my surgery. And that morning, all the way to the hospital, I kept saying, "I can't believe I'm doing this." Try to kick back and relax. You've made a huge step in your journey, and it will only get better. Think of how much better you'll feel, that'll help. I'm glad I made the decision. I had my surgery in May and went from 258 to 174, from a size 26/28 to a 16/18. Good luck and keep us all posted. Us Missouri WLSers take care of each other. Where are you having your surgery? I am usually pretty calm and unkerfuffled about medical things, but I ended up getting a prescription for Xanax about 2 weeks before my surgery. That seems to be the worst point as far as anxiety. We know we want it, it's not quite here, we want it to be over with so we can start our new lives. Is that about right? Hang in there. And if you want more snow, you can have what is in my yard. Your right, I want it and I want it now!!! I am taking Xanax and a couple other things it just doesn't seem to be helping right now. I would take your snow if you want to ship it to me ours is all melted already. Wayne

I was feeling pretty antsy myself, but about two days before surgery a strange calm fell over me and I was OK with everything. Maybe it was the pre-op liquid diet. Countdown's ON!! Kristen

My calm hasn't kicked in yet....or maybe it did and I just didn't reconize it.

Hi Wayne The 2 weeks before my surgery, I was a total wreck! My emotions were all over the place! I lived on Xanax! I wish you all the best for your big day! I know you're going to be a great success! Big Hugs! Deb (ps... your surgery date is my birthday!)
