Well it was a blistering 16 degrees when I took my kids to school this morning. Nothing like scraping ice at 7:20 in the a.m. I'm 17 days away from my surgery and oddly I am not nervous at all yet. I have started replacing 2 of my meals each day with protien shakes trying to get a on this whole liquid thing. it has been very comforting knowing all the great people that have had surgery recently here in our great state of Misery er a Missouri and seeing how well everyone is doing, and lets not forget all our veterans like Nana Linda and Kristen offering their sage advice to all of us newbies. Thanks to everyone here who has offered me advice and encouragement these last couple of months, I appreciate it and am here if any of you need to talk or share your accomplishments. GO MISSOURI!!!!!!!!!!!! Wayne

This will be the gift that keeps on giving! Having surgery might just mean that you'll live to spend many more Christmases with your kids. OK, well you hang in there, stay busy and it will be here before you know it! You'll be two years out before you know it!! It's a wonderful and sometimes CRAZY ride, and you'll be so happy you took it! Hey one more thing, are you one of those locals I see wearing a t shirt and jeans with tennis shoes, while I'm out wearing a t shirt, a long sleeved turtle neck, a sweater, coat, scarf, hat, jeans, thermals, thick socks, and furry boots?? LOL I think of those guys who laugh at me when I see your post pic. They're probably wondering what I'll be wearing when winter REALLY kicks in!! I'm not sure myself, I can't imagine it getting ANY colder than this!! What WILL I DO??? Take care, Kristen

Hey Kristen, thanks for the encouragement I cant wait to be 2 years post-op. I cant even imagine what my life will be like then And just so you know, YES I am one of those t-shirts and jeans kind of people. If it gets really cold (down in single digits ) I will put on my sweat jacket and maybe gloves It took me a while to adjust when I moved here from San Francisco, I've been here about 14 years now. Heres a couple Ideas to stay warm: you can stay in you can take a or you can , Stay warm Wayne
