Just a few more days

I have just a few more days to go until Thursday. I don't feel as scared as I did this time last week. My priest blessed me at Mass today and that has helped. My nerves are on edge however. I just want everything to go well. I can handle anything but complications. My insurance will only pay $20,000 max. What can I expect to pay out of pocket? Neither the hospital or the surgeons office have told me what to expect to pay. This liquid diet kinda stinks. But I know I can do it and how important it is. So how will I feel when I wake up? Any help is appreciated. Barb

Dear Barb, Bless your heart. I know your feeling that these last few days will never end. I can offer you prayer and support to protect you and guide your surgeons skilled hands and that God will give you a speedy recovery. As far as what your going to have out pay of pocket, well when I was researching surgeries and went to the seminars here in Sedalia, Dr. Hornbostel was giving us a rough est. of around $22,000 for here at Bothwell Reginal I have it broke down but it isn't for your hospital. let me see it was something like 3,800 for the doc, 1000 give or take for the guy that puts you to sleep, can't spell that one. I'm thinking $15-18,000 for hospital stay. He said it was $2,000 more than the Lab Band. I hope this gives you some idea, but I'm sure yours will different because of the differant places. So Good Luck to you and I do wish you the very best. May the Good Lord smile upon your face. Marylin99, almost switched 02-07-06

Not sure on the price but I didn't rememeber the day of surgery or the day after. The drugs are great LOL.I was not in much pain at all.I asked them to take me off the pain meds I didn't like the way they made me feel.I wish you the best.I just had to do 2 days of liquid so that was not to bad.
