Hi everyone, I am new to the board and wanted to introduce myself. I am Angie and I am 31 and live in St. Louis, MO. I went through the whol process of getting pre-approved a few years ago because my insurance said it was covered if "medically necessary". After what seemed like forever they replied by denying me. I appealed and by the time that went through I lost my job of five years due to downsizing. My appeal was denied because I was no longer insured. I reapplied after getting on my husband's insurance and was denied again and never heard anything after I appealed to them. So here I am again and my new insurance through my new job has no exclusions and covers the surgery. So as of yesterday my surgeon is resending me all the paperwork to reapply. Since it has been over a year they no longer had my info. So I have to redo the pshyc eval. and the history and referral letters from my PCP etc. I hope to be on my way by the 1st of the year. I had put off reapplying because my husband and I were contimplating getting pregnant again. We have decided to put that on hold and go forth with this. We have a 3 year old son. My surgeon is Dr. De La Torre at DePaul. I look forward to the journey ahead and getting to know everyone here a lot better.
