Any Dr. Pitt LAP BANDERS?

Hi! New to the web site and just wondering if anyone has gone through the Gastric Banding procedure with Dr. James Pitt in Columbia, MO? I'm a little concerned because my gynecologist referred me to Pitt and he has been somewhat supervisory in my weightloss over the last seven years including a horrific pregnancy that pushed me to have a c-section at 27 weeks gestation. I am at 43 BMI, 274 lbs on a 5'6" frame and am holding uric acid due to liver failure in my body fat. I don't know if my insurance will approve me or not.... HELP!

Hi, I haven't been able to have my surgery yet, due to terrible experiences with the insurance company, but when it goes through I plan to use Dr. Pitt for lap band. I attended his seminar and had my first appointment with him before the insurance troubles, and I really liked him. He is very open about things and very willing to answer questions and work with you to find the best solution. I found him very positive in his approach and sympathetic to the problems we face. I was very comfortable talking to him. He does have a profile on this board and it has some comments from his patients. You might want to check that out. Good luck to you.
