Hey Hoorah for me! I'm down 8 lbs this month!!!!!!!!!!! That has got me sooooooo hyped!!!!!! I had gone down a little in my bra size (sorry guys) but I was down 8lbs at the doc today and down 2 inches in my waist and it made my BMI go from 59.? to 57!!!!! I'm walking on sunshine..... Anyway Just wanted to say thanks for all the support. The MO board is great. Even if no one has my surgeon. I went to the Kansas board to find someone who has had him maybe cause that is where his office is but that board is dead! So thank you all for being here and posting alot. I still need a visit to the nut and then on to insurance! Thanks guys!

Congrats on your weight loss! When is your surgey? It sounds like you're gonna do great. Your Dr. is making you work for it, which will pay off in the end. If you don't mind sharing, how have you lost 8 lbs? I wouldn't mind losing another 8 lbs. Or 13. But I think a tummy tuck will cure most of that! LOL Anyway, congrats again! Kristen

Thank you. I don't have a date yet. but I think I might be getting there quicker than expected. The patient coordinator called today and said that I didn't really need another nutritionists visit. But they did need a better copy of my WL doc's notes to be faxed and then on to insurance! Yeah!!!!!! Yeah I am working for this but its been my insurance mostly. 6 month supervised weight loss with a doc. And every month it been only a pound or two down then back up then down at a slow crawl. Very distressing. But when my doc walked in yesterday he said he thought I had already had surgery. hahahahaha I really lost it by listeneing to you guys on here, and my psychologist. (He is an angel. I'm nearly convinced!) I actually did a food journal for him. I refused for anyone else. I knew I would just lie on it. He said, "ok lie if you want. That's ok just write some thing down. There is no judgement here. This is for you. It is only a tool." I don't know why it clicked finally but it did. He wanted me on an 80% protein 20% complex carb. And I been seeing him for about 2-3 months now. It took me about a month to get into habit of writing it down and then in the last 3 weeks I began to do the math on what I was eating to see if it was 80% protein. It wasn't. So I adjusted. Started protein drinks and watched everything. One piece of candy on Halloween. And no more the rest of the week. Careful on Thanksgiving. Etc. You guys have taught me how to do it. I think really it was my body adjusting to something new. I don't think w/o surgery it would keep it up like this. I ate much less than I did before. ANd I stopped most fast food except breakfast twice a week. (Its just way to easy those days and anything else is just not going to work out.) But I've learned to throw off the top layer on bun and no hashbrowns (but I never did those anyway). And I switched to bottled water when I go through fast food. But those fries I kinda miss. I stopped journaling the last 2 weeks. I still did ok but I know it has not been the same and I've let sugar and carbs creep back in. (God, I hope I'm a dumper cause if not I'm gonna have big problems!) SO you all have really helped me thanks! And Kristen, no TT for you until you have that little cutie! (You are the one thinking of having a baby right?) Thanks for the responses!

LOL But a TT is a sure fire way to get pregnant. I wouldn't spend all that time, money and pain and NOT get pregnant after getting a great flat tummy right?? hahahaha We'll see what's gonna happen. We're talking about foster/adopt again. We gotta do something. We need kids in this house bad! ~~Take care, Kristen

Jennifer, This is great news, I am so happy for you! I knew you could do it! Keep up the good work and your surgery will be here before you know it! Blessings, Peggy P.S. I usually lurk, but if I see something interesting (like you ) I'll stick my nose in. Again, congrats!
