My insurance won't cover the surgery

Got a letter today from Dr. Hornbostel's office. My husband's insurance won't cover this surgery. There is no way at all that we can self pay. I will be looking for a job that has insurance that will cover or buy a policy just for me to get this covered. I am open to suggesstions for either. I will be returning to my seasonal job next month but not sure what their benefits are. BC/BS insurance is a BIG waste of money but my hisband's employer is too cheap to look for another option. They only give them one plan choice.

Have you tired appealing it? And have you asked his employer to make a special case for you? Still might not do anything but worth a shot.

Tammy, I'm really you got this bad news. You might want to try posting on the main board if you haven't already. There have been many postings on there about ways people got their surgery covered. I think you will get a lot of good advice there. Linda
