Surgery Date Already!

We rec'd THE phone call from Marggie this morning! I only had my class w/Dr. Hornbostel on Oct 12. Penni spoke to us and what she said really helped me with my decision! Thanks Penni! I saw the doctor on Oct 26 and already have been approved through TriCare and the hospital! There are lots of different emotions going through me! Oops... forgot to put in the date! December 9, 2005. The pre-op will be done on the 2nd. What kind of pre-op diet are you put on? We had asked the doc about it and he said that there wasn't one.. but his nurse said that they would give it to me at pre-op... along w/the bowel prep! Thanks for all your comments and prayers! My pre-op diet was 'full liquids' one day (creamed soups, etc) and 'clear liquids' the day before surgery and of course nothing after midnight before surgery. But some doctors orders are different. My husband had the same surgeon as me and only two weeks after me and he only had to do a ONE DAY liquid diet! I was quite peeved! OK, I was jealous! LOL Congrats on your date! ~~Kristen~~

Stacey; I'm so excited for you! Dr. Hornbostel was also my surgeon. Did you get a 3-ring binder from his office yet? Maybe you'll get it at your pre-op. I followed a 1000 calorie no-fat diet for 10 days, then clear liquids the day before along with the yummy bowel prep! Good luck! Let me know if you need anything!
