I am finally on the losing side. Due to a very low potassium count I didn't have surgery on Oct. 31st as planned. Instead it was on Nov. 1st. I am back home and was doing great until today, my drain fell out. I am pretty scared now, but have been in touch with the doctor and he said we are going to wait a couple of day, since the drain is still oozing. Please say a prayer for me. An abcess was really not in my plans! Marla P.S. a very special shout out to my angel Dawn for keeping everone posted.

Marla, I was sooooooo glad to hear all went well for you. Dawn kept me up to date with all of the happenings. As far as the drain, just keep the area clean, tough to do, and change the pads often.... You mentioned an abcess? Did they find one? Keep us posted, Gevin RNY 06-01-05 314.5/192/146 ish

Marla! There you are. I didn't see ya on the main board and duh-didn't think to look here, so I emailed you. I am sooo happy that you DID have your surgery and that you did well. I hate to hear about your drain, but if the docs think you can get away without it, wouldn't THAT be cool?! That was my main pain post-op. I have not been on here as much lately. Dad in ICU for past month and I've been working alot. I just want you to know I'll be praying for you not to have any more complications and that the drain thing is simple to fix. God bless you. ~Kelly
