I have been APPROVED

Received word today that my insurance company has approved the surgery. I was at work when I got the call and just started screaming. All my co-workers came running thinking something bad had happened! I have done all the pre-op requirements, except I need to loose about 1 maybe 2 more pounds. Will be getting in touch with the nurse at the surgeons office to get this thing scheduled. Looks like I may be having turkey broth for Thanksgiving.

Yea for Barb~! So glad to hear you will be on the losing side with us. Try starting your liquid diet a wee early, you will lose weight fast prior to surgery and you will be getting ready for after. Gevin RNY 06-01-05 314.5/192/146 5 months out and red meats are back.. (yummy, LOL)

Barbara, That is GREAT!!!!! I am so happy for you. Won't be long now before you are on the losing side with the rest of us. That is so exciting. Just remember to take one day at a time. I will be having the surgery done at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. I don't have a date yet. I will be seeing the surgeon soon to set the date. My surgeon is Dr. Cameron Hodges. I am excited and a little scared too.
