Dear friends: It is Monday...here in St. Louis....oh I guess it is almost everywhere...ha ha ha ...but it is raining...like cats and dogs here. Life is so good I can hardly stand it. The scale is moving slowly again....and that makes me extremely happy. I wonder can you think of all the things you wanted to do when you were pre-op but couldn't and think of all the things you can do now.....what a difference that makes. I personally could never think about living in a second floor apartment. That is where I live today and take the steps with no problems....except when I loaded down with groceries. But what a great feeling to be able to do the steps without problems. YIPPPEEEE.... Betty Myers St. Louis OPEN RNY 5/25/04 -130 pounds

Betty, I think it is soooooooooooo great to see how much you have lost. I will be glad when I have lost 130. I still have about 11 more to go and I will have lost 130. Things have slowed a bit, but I am only 5 mos out and so far lost 119 lbs, so I am gettin there. As for things I can do now, more than I can list here. Keep it up and let us know what we can do to lose too~! Gevin RNY 06-01-05 314.5/194/146

Two things come to mind that I can do now that I couldn't do pre-op: Cross my legs, and go up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath! Patty 258/184/140

so soon you will be crossing your legs because it feels better than NOT crossing your legs AND you will RUN up a flight of stairs BECAUSE YOU CAN!!! SO glad I had surgery! ~Kristen

I know that one of things I REALLY wanted to do was to scuba dive. Next summer, I'm finally going to do it. I've lost enought weight now that it shouldn't be a problem. The other day, I caught myself running up and down the basement stairs. It dawned on me..."Whoa...a year ago, I would have done anything in my power NOT to go down the stairs at all, let alone run." Life has definitely gotten easier! Pamela 352/233 at last official weigh in
