Gevin, This is an easy one for me. My husband has been very supportive of me and is glad I am getting healthier. He only worries if I don't feel good or have trouble eating. I am very fortunate. Linda

Nana Linda, What is up beautifull~! It is always so nice to see you post you light up the board. I am glad to hear hubby is supportive I wouldnt want to have to type bad things about him and make you run to me.. LOL, I know I am to old for you, but I can try right.. Again so glad to hear your doing well and that your husband is behind you and is looking out for you. That can be a rare find so go hug him and tell him what you want as your next goal present.. My husband is in no way jealous of me getting the surgery, he is very excited. It may be different if he was overweight. He loves me and supports me in this. At first he wasen't for it because he didn't want me to have unneccasary (spelling) surgery but after we went to the inicial seminar he was so excited and knew that it was for my health. Now we can't wait and my daughter is so excited for me too. Thanks for the questions. Penni

This is an interesting question. My husband is very noncommital about my 140 lb weight loss. Of course, I still have 90 lbs to go. If someone asks him what he thinks he will say it's great. but he does not say anything about it to me. He is glad that I feel better but I think he is just waiting for the other shoe to fall so to speak. I've lost 100 lbs three times in our marriage and each time gained the weight back plus more. I think he is still waiting for that to happen again. It's been a little over a year and I'm still going good although weight loss has slowed and really this last month is at a stand still. It is as if my husband is waiting for this to fail too. That gives me even more incentive to make it work. This time I did the surgery and the weight loss totally for me, not for anyone else. I was missing out on so much. I'd go with the family on vacation and sit in the car and read a book while they went walking or exploring. I'm looking forward next summer to going and participating. (This summer we didn't even take a vacation, except two days to St. Louis. We hope to at least go to Branson at Christmas.) Anyway, I'm more able to walk and do things with the family like a normal person. I notice it even more than he does I think. Teresa

Hey there Gevin! Interesting question. Since I am pre-op still (awaiting 11-14-05), I can only answer to the present situation. My husband is always my one big supporter and even goes to the support group meetings with me. He is already considereing having the surgery as soon as I am on the mend. He will have to get cardiac clearance also as he is open heart post op last Feb. So I am encouraging him to get started on his paper work and necessary tests etc. Thanks for making the board so interesting. Colette
