Consult results
Okay I went to my consult yesterday. Not exactley what I wanted to happen but something I can work with. I have to go see a Pulmonary Specialist to get cleared for surgery. I need to lose some weight to make the surgery safer. And I need to have a Csan on my hernia to see how big it is. Cause he wont do both sugerys at the same time. I go back to see him in 4 weeks. And in the mean time diet diet diet. lol Thanks to everyone for the encourgement and prayers. I was a looooooonnnnnggggggg trip. And I am totally wiped out. Marla & Ardie it was such a blessing to meet you both. It make the consult so much easier to have someone there rooting for you. God bless you both!!

Hi Melissa, I'm glad you were able to get in for a consult.....exactly how much weight do you have to lose, and what system does Dr. A. use to determine that?? Just curious, and good luck sweetie. Also, if you don't know a pulmonary specialist, let me refer you to mine....his name is Dr. Sydney Devins and he is located right outside of KC in Lee's Summit....easy to find and he is ultra nice. He also takes MC.

You might say I live just next door. I am going to have my surgery in Springfield. That is if I ever get this last 2 pounds off. I am listening to Elvis tonight trying not to eat. Oh well.
Who are you going to and have you heard if there is a support group starting up in Joplin?

Just hang in there Melissa. It'll all work out! I was at Dr. Scott's on Wednesday as well, for my 3-month check up. I'm the one from Branson that was talking with Ardie! Trust me, the trip is well worth it...both the long drives to Columbia and whatever Dr. appointments and other obstacles you have to face to get to the surgery. I'm so glad I had mine!!
