Dr. Augustin - My Consultation is on Monday!!
Dr. Augustin did my surgery in march of this year i am down 150 lbs since then i loved him till i lost my insurance and have called a few times and have still not got a new appt he is a wonderful dr all my complants lie with the hospital i hated it down there and will never go back do everything they tell you to do and you will be fine i think i did and i am litterly have the person i was before. as for how long it took for me to have my surgery it was a year because i was really set up with dr ail and he rolled out and didnt tell anyone he was leaving if you have any other questions feel free to shot me a email
Hrm, it really sounds like they've changed a lot of their rules since the last time I was there, but I did just talk to the scheduling nurse, so it should be OK.....I have only been to one meeting, and I've got my packet and completed it, along with my past medical histories etc. to bring in tomorrow. I do have Medicaid, but its MC+, Blue Advantage Plus, and they know this already...but I am not interested in Lap Band and I live in KC so I should be set....so maybe only 2 months until my surgery??? WOO that would be great! I know a lot of adults have been cut off of medicaid, so maybe that will get me in even faster. I am planning on going to the next meeting....my BMI is like 42, I have severe asthma, sleep apnea, knee problems, etc. so I'm hoping my ins. WILL approve me......oh well, I guess we will see tomorrow.....
LoL yeah, I'm hoping!! I just got off of the phone w/ my PCP's office, and apparently they have faxed the referral FORM but not the letter of recomendation, but they have it prepared and the doc is going to fax it over when she gets in this afternoon - which isn't until the time of my appt! ARGH! But alas, they tell me @ Dr. Augustin's appt. desk that it's fine and to go ahead and come on in! Fingers crossed for me ladies and please, if you have any input about this doc, lay it on me!
