Down 41 pounds!
Well hey everyone.. : ) As of tomarrow I will be 3 weeks post op. I think i am doing fairly well, especially since I had a few issues. I have lost 41! Freak out .. I dont look any smaller.. and really, I am wearing the same clothes.. which is wierd. You would think I would be needing a new wardrobe soon.. but no. I really miss shopping, fat or not! My reg Md did some blood work yesterday, and today I found out I am really low on potassium and blood platelets. So, I have to go pick up some scripts.. and get more blood work done next week. Thus far, I have been able to eat a little bit of most everything on my list without much trouble.. still feel kinda yucky when I eat, but no throwing up, but, oatmeal.. not my friend.
I have had some real issues with fainting, which is really frustrating, seems every time I try to do someones hair I get really dizzy andhave to lie down. Its hard to make much money like that, but I am taking it slowly.
Have a rockin day! Jilldawn
Jill,
You are amazing!! At a month post op I had only lost 22 lbs., and I was excited. Fixing your potassium problem and resolving the platelet issue might help the fainting. I can't believe you can even stand up, let alone work.
I went back to work 3 weeks after surgery, and I was exhausted for the first week. I don't have to stand up to do my job, so I can only guess how you feel.
Good luck on your journey. You are off to a great start

: ) Ok.. down 54lbs! : ) why dont I feel skinny? I am wearing the same clothes, which apparently I wore far too small before!! : ) I am starting to feel a little flabby now. Bloodwork redone.. Now, slightly enimic, still really low potassium. I couldnt take the script, it made me reallly sick, Blue Bunny yogurt has more potassium than anything I can eat.. so I am tryng to shove that down everyday. plus the isopure. But, really I am doing great, I feel much better, no more passing out. I go back to St. Louis tomarrow and see Dr. Wagner. HOpe all goes well..
Peace out skinny friends!
