Hello all, I made it thru and actually feel pretty good. In fact, I feel so good that I wonder if they actually did the surgery. I am very sore and Oscar (as in Oscar the grouchy pouch) rumbles and rolls alot but I feel pretty good. Course that may all change in a day or two. I just wanted to let you all know that I am now an official 'Loser' so scoot over and make room on the bench for me! Peggy ~A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step~

Thats great Peggy! Could you let me know who your surgeon was I was wondering if it is the same surgeon is doing me. People like you are such an inspiration, thank you. I pray that your recovery continue to be great! Love to you, Penni

Hi Penni... My surgeon is Dr. Stanley Hoehn and the hospital is Shawnee Mission Medical Center. He also works with Dr. Hitch**** Their office is Bariatric Center of KC...I couldn't be more pleased. He did a great job and the hospital was fantastic (except for a few glitches but that is to be expected) I couldn't find a surgeon here in MO that I was happy with and Shawnee is sorta close so that's what I did. Best wishes to you! Peggy

And your out walking too~! Whats next? That shiny new bike you have always wanted? The sky, the trails, your new life is ahead of you. So put your head high and the walk like ya own it.. LOL. One piece of advice, good shoes~! Especially those meant for walking, however dont spend a ton on them. You will need new ones when your feet shrink.. And yes they do LOL. I am now in 8.5's vice 9's I tried my nines and they were too tight.. Another piece... Drink slowlllllllyyyyy.. LOL, I get hiccups so bad it not funny if I drink more than a drink at a time.. LOLOL. And yet another... If your like me and money is not something growing on the tree in the yard.. Resale shops are your freind~! I have saved more money going to those vice chain, or speicalty stores than you can imagine. And being a guy I dont like to buy clothes. If it aint blowing up, or showing me stuff being blown up, or catching something why buy it? Anyhoo, SOoooooooo glad to have more losers on the bench~! Gevin 314.5/214/146

Let me clarify.... I ain't OUT walking yet...still look too ghastly to set foot outside the house. So I walk laps around the inside of the house. Set the timer for 10 minutes and go, go, go. But we had started going to a gym about 9 weeks ago (so I could start getting ready for surgery) and cooler mornings helped with that. But I am expecting to be out again in another week or so. Then I can get the bike....or maybe the trike! And I already figured on Goodwill or whatever thrift store I can find. I hate to buy clothes and when you stick an x in front of the size they get to charge you more. Besides, I'm hoping to change sizes so fast (in a few months) that buying new clothes would be just silly. Hmmmm...clothes or gas. Guess we know the answer to that! Have a great day! Peggy
