Hi all, Anyone else seem to get hiccups from after drinking and eating that last for a min or so and then just go away? Just wanted to toss that out into the message board mix.. Gevin 314/217/146

Hi Gevin, Can't help you there but I had to ask you...have you lost 100 lbs since June? I remember watching you post before your surgery and praying that things would go well for you and it looks like you are doing great! Wow...that is unbelievable. Congratulations...you rock!! Peggy

Hi Peggy, Long time no yap~! LOL. How r u doing? Well so you know I am now as of today down a total of 98.5 lbs, and yes since June 1st. All I can say is excercise as often as you can and it will come right off, plus I am a man so it supposedly comes off faster? I am hoping I can get to 100 lost in the next week before my B-day. I want to be at 100 loss before I turn the big 40. I know, older than dirt, old man, Mr crusty, etc, etc, LOL. Well drop me a line or post it note on here when ya get time. It is always so nice to hear from folks and see the board come alive with chatter. Gevin 314.5/215/146.... RNY 06-01-05

Gevin, Yes, I get hiccups on a daily basis and they usually don't last very long. I asked my surgeon about them and he wasn't very concerned about them. He doesn't think that it's surgery related but, I think they more than likely are. Take care, Kelli 255/165/150

Gevin, I get the hiccups ALL THE TIME now. My co-workers just laugh at me cause I will just be sitting there working away, not eating anything or drinking anything and they will just start up out of the blue and then they go away, like someone turns a switch on and off.

(raising my hand on the hiccups) yep ... depending on how well I control the speed of my eating ... if I slip up and eat too fast it's a done-deal I'll have hiccups for a few mins. Myra

I also get hiccups from time to time after I eat or drink something. I once read a post where someone had hiccups quite often, and their surgeon told them it was NOT a good thing. Something about too much air in the pouch that shouldn't be there (I think). If it happens ALL the time, you might want to ask your surgeon. If it's only an occasional problem, it's probably not a big deal. Pamela 352/238/150

Humm good to know, I think it only happens when I drink or eat to fast, but they sometimes get loud and smart a little then I am fine. I am guessing you all right, if they get worse I will talk to the Doc. Phew did ya'all see how much we have lost from just those that answered~! We are the incredible shrinking people.~! We are such losers LOL with a capital L, Ah but good losers.... Gevin 314.5/216/146 RNY 06-01-05
