Right now I am down 60 lbs in 3 months so I am hoping that the other 40 will be gone by the time I hit another 3 months, which will be Thanksgiving. Thanks, and yeah, there are still quite a few lbs left in me that needs to go yet...........right now I am on a plateau but right now I don't want to go to the gym too much. I am going into Crossroads Hospital on Friday to have my gallbladder taken out by Dr Fallwell, he is an assistant of Dr De La Torre's. So once I get released to go back to the gym after that then I will start pushing it again. I was able to get there about 4 times a week..........and then sometimes on the weekends. Good Luck tomorrow with the scale. I know that my scale at home is lbs off then the dr's office so that helps me alot now that I know how much they are different. Glad to see that you are doing so well. Theresa

Hey Theresa,, Well I got my offical weight today... I am at 219.5, LOL Hey a half counts right.. So my scale at home is dead on the money.. Scarry for a 6.00 scale. Your having your gallbladder removed~!? Yikes, what made the think it had to come out? Have you had pains etc? I am hoping not to have mine out, but I have heard it is a breeze compared to gastric. Plateau smateau, you will get passed it. I mean whats a gallbladder weigh? Thats gotta be good for a pound or two.. LOL. I hope it all goes well and I have no doubt your in good hands. Oh, did you order the new vitamins online yet? I need to and was wondering which ones you ordered and from where. Gotta run... I get Citrus now ~!! Time for some OJ..Woo Hoo.. Gevin 314.5/219.5/Oh heck lets just say 149... And those are my official weights, straight from the Drs scale. Beastly creature never lies...LOL

Well for me, about the last month or so I started getting really nausaous but I couldn't figure out what was causing me to get that way. It didn't matter what I ate, I could eat something for dinner one night and then take some left overs to work the next day and then that would make me sick. A couple of times I had to end up leaving work cause I just couldn't handle sitting at work feeling like I was going to get at any given time. I kept thinking it was just gas and started walking around the building at breaks, nothing seemed to help and I didn't know what set it off. Finally we had the Relay for Life here in Troy the first weekend in August so I went up there with my little sister and started walking around 6 pm, her grandma took her to my mom around 9 and I continued walking with a cousin of mine. We walked till 2:30 in the morning.........well then that following Tuesday I started getting sick again so I called Nancy and asked her what it could be. I told her that if there was any gas in me it should have left my body Friday night when I walked the high school track for 8 1/2 hours. I started telling her how I was feeling and what it was like, so she had me call my primary care physican and order an ultrasound of my gallbladder. They did the ultrasound on that and all around there such as my kidney, spleen, intestines. Well everything came back ok except I had gall stones. So now I get to go and have my gall bladder removed. I wasn't to thrilled about getting this out, but I think the main part of it was that I wasn't that prepared as I was for the WLS. Once I met Dr Fallwell I felt much better about the surgery. It also helps that he will be using Dr Richardson or Dr De La Torre as his assistant. Dr De La Torre used Dr Richardson as his assistant for my WLS so now I feel even better yet about the whole thing. I know that I am in good hands with these drs. I mean, besides, I went through a surgery with alot more risk involved and I survived. I will let you all know how things go when I get home from that. Dr Fallwell says that I should be released that evening, but his nurse said that they prefer to keep us bariatric patients overnight for observation. I will be having the surgery done at Crossroads in Wentzville. As for the vitamins, actually I went through Puritan Pride, one of the guys in support group was saying that he uses them and they have really good deals. I got my B-1, B-12 sublinguals, and Biotin, actually got 3 bottles of each cause they were having a sale, buy one get 2 free, so I got 9 bottles in all of the vitamins and it cost me like $15.00, and that included shipping. Then I went to walmart and got the Citrical (sp) and I use that for my calcium. Congrats again on the awesome weight loss so far. You are doing great. Isn't it amazing how quickly it is going. I just realized today that I am almost half way to where I want to be. I wanted to lose 130, and I am already down 62 so I only have 68 lbs more to go. Keep up the good work and maybe I will see you sometime at support group on Wednesday nights.

Wow, long story but now I know what to look out for.. I wad gonna ask ya, did you get the info from Nancy on the vitamins they want us to take? I looked at them on-line and they seem reasonable but I am getting nervous, because one minute its take this and the next they want us taking something else... She was saying that most OTC vitamins dont have the daily dosage we need. I need to get the Biotin and I think I will look at Puritan pride on line and see what deals they have. I just hate to not use the vitamins she recomends, ya know what I mean? Speaking of supplements, I started the Calcium and D today, those pills are huge~! OMG, I almsot gagged on them. I think it is soooo cool your down 62 proboly 63 now.. LOL, or more. And your half way to your goal is even more awesom. I still have a load to go.. I want to get to 146 so I have about 75 more to go, I guess I am little over half way there, 95 lost so far, yea over half. Nancy said at the rate I am losing I should be at my goal within a year.. Speaking of group, when is the next night? I saw on the calender that it is tonight? I wont be able to make it since the daughter has a tennis game again tonight.. Are you going to the one on 9-21-05? I need to make that one for sure..

the vitamins I get that are from Puritan Pride are the ones that they told us that we could use at support group. As for the calcium, if you can handle drinking cloudy water try dropping the pill in a small bottle of water and letting it disolve, you can't taste it and you don't have to drink the gritty part of it. I should be at the one on the 21st so hopefully I will see you there.

Grrr, that bugs me so much. Not that you got your vitamin advice from the group, but that she was stressing us using these vitamins over any others. I guess if this is such an important thing, why isnt this info passed along to us rather than going to an appt every 3 months and then finding out. I guess I need to start going to the group meetings and hearing what others have been told. Maybe this is something new and alot of folks arent aware, or I am just getting all worked up over nothing.... The paper she gave me with the websites listed had wording on it that bugs me.. From the paper "We strongly recomend that you change your vitamins to bariatric vitamins from one of the websites below. It list a few sites... The it sais.. IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO USE BARIATRIC VITAMINS, YOUR ARE DOING SO AT YOUR OWN RISK... it goes on to list additional vitamins to take. So you see why this is bugging me. I talked to Brad about a month ago and he had suggested buying vitamins off the net and I almost did, however I wasnt out yet. The I got a multi very similar to the flinstones and thought I was doing pretty good. And now this.... Do you know of anyone else that has gotten this paper from Nancy? If not I will make copies and e-mail it to ya so you can see where I am coming from.
