I know I should not cry about this...
Gas Price ... LOL ... I think the good Lord that I was not one who lost every thing by Hurricane Katrina ... Oh she ha**** us but not that way.. I start school next week it's about a hour away one way and I just pray that I can keep gas in my car.. I'm not sure why this gas thing is on my mind so much this morning. I hope everyone has a great and safe weekend.Gas here is $3.59 in Chester and $3.19 across the bridge..

My hubby has to drive about an hour each way to work as well. Thankfully, we can afford to buy the gas, but we sure don't like it!! I'm so glad I work from home. He filled my tank last Sunday evening, and asked me this morning how I was doing on gas - my tank is still on FULL!! So that's a blessing.
I feel for many folks who commute to work and don't make a lot of money, what are these folks going to do when the cost for gas each week is as much or more than they're bringing home?!!!! Can you get a carpool going Shelly? That's the only suggestion I have - short of finding work closer, and I know that's always an option.
I'm praying for you and all of us!

Unfortunately, the gas prices are even affecting my doctor's appointment. I'm supposed to go back to Columbia next week for my 3 month appointment with Dr. Scott. But as it appears right now, I'll have to cancel. I put my last $12 in my gas tank yesterday. And that just won't get me very far on that 4 hour one-way trip to Columbia, let alone home!! Not a good thing -- but I'm still better off than many!!!

Hi Connie,
If you can get as far as Jeff City, I will help you out some with gas. No one should have to give up their appointment because of these ridiculous gas prices. Maybe there are others out there who would pitch in some along the way so that we can get you there.
Email me and I'll try to get back to you.
Dear Connie,
I have just read your posting. I live in Waynesville, MO and have to be in Sedelia tomorrow 9/6 by 1:30. If your appointment in Columbia is on the same day I would be willing to meet you to share the ride. I would hate for you to miss your doctors appointment.
I hope you find a ride.

Hey Shelly,
I so know what you mean. I drive an hour each way to and from work AND have to drive for work during work hours. Last week I filled up my gas guzzling SUV 4 times to the tune of over $60 bucks a pop. At this rate I would be better off not working methinks!! And once a month I have to drive to TN for school ... I can't imagine what the prices will be the farther south I go! Ahhhhhhhh! I'm in the process of looking for a newer more gas efficient car right now - except right now SUVs aren't worth a dime hardly for trade-in
Hugz and good luck!
Cathy
