Going to a Seminar!!

Well I am on the road to surgery! I went to my PCP today, and I am covered by medicaid for the surgery. I have a date to go to a seminar on the 15 of October which is SO far away. I am going to Columbia Regional and getting the surgeons I wanted, DR. Scott and Dr, Delatore! I am so excited! Keep your fingers crossed. It turns out that the Lapband is not covered by medicaid so it will have to be RNY. I know there is a long road ahead and I have never been exceptionally patient, but one step at a time right? Well anyway this has made my day! Thanks so much for listening.

Congrats on getting a seminar date! You will learn so much about the surgery there. I had my lap band 10 months ago by Drs. Scott and de la Torre. You will be in excellent hands with them. Have fun

Congrats on being on your way. I had Dr De La Torre and I must say that you will be in really good hands. I didn't have mine done in Columbia though, I had mine done in St Louis at Depaul Hospital. I had the RNY and have never regretted it.

Wow! I'm going to the same seminar in October also. How far away from Columbia are you? Does anyone know of a cheap hotel? I live about 20 min from Arkansas and we'll have to stay at least one night up there. I just can't handle the drive there and back all on the same day. It's good to know that others are taking the same steps that I am. Best wishes and hopefully we'll meet in Columbia! Nettie

Check with Cassie in Dr. Scott's office. She should have hotel info for you. I know I stayed at a Super 8 when I went for Seminar in January. I told them I was a patient at the hospital and got a pretty good discount. Connie 410/347/287/134
