Hi Teresa! My PCP has taken care of most of my post-op care and has done a fabulous job. I had surgery out-of-state, and it would have been too costly for me to travel back and forth for check-ups. My PCP studied my surgery and worked closely with my out-of-state surgeon to be "in-the-know" about my special post-op needs. All my blood-work is taken here, then the results are faxed to my surgeon.....and then we all talk on a conference call to discuss my results, diet, and exercise. Just wanted to share my PCP experience with you to let you know that post-op care can be handled by your family physician, as long as they take the time and care to "know" your needs. Congrats on your success so far! You look great....and losing that 2nd hundred pounds IS POSSIBLE. I am living proof! Shelli Down 228 lbs....and still counting!

Teresa: I just got off the phone with Kassie from Dr. Scott's office. She said that once a year is up they generally send their patients onto their pcps for follow-up. She did say that if you are having problems or questions to be sure and call them as they will see you. Call me at home and I'll be happy to give you her phone number.
