Program on Body Image in Cape Girardeau

This Saturday, August 13th, the SEMO Weight Loss Surgery Support Group will meet from 10 a.m. til noon at Southeast Missouri Hospital, meeting room 102. That's in Cape Girardeau. We're very excited that our guest speaker will be Linda Vogelsang, LPC, NBCC, Counselor III, from the Center for Health and Counseling at Southeast Missouri State University. She has provided individual and group treatment for 20 years for eating disorders and promises us a fantastic program on body image! Ever wonder why you still see yourself as fat when you know you no longer are? (or should know you are no longer fat?) Linda is going to tell us how to fix that! I'm really excited and hope everyone will be there. This promises to be a great program for long-term post-ops and newbies as well. Interesting enough, I heard her speak once before about eating disorders, and she said people who have lost a lot of weight and those who are anoxeric have a lot in common -- they both see themselves as larger than they are.
