Surgery tomorrow!!
I am looking forward to my new life, but I am starting to be a bit anxious about the surgery. I was doing okay until I talked to my dad last night. I know he and my mother are very nervous about it. They have both been through surgery, but my brother and I haven't. I think they were hoping to avoid that anxiety in their life.
I am at work today, because I couldn't imagine sitting at home and thinking about it. Since my surgeon doesn't requie icky bowel preps and things, I couldn't think of a good reason to stay home.
Keep in your thoughts and prayers. I can't wait to post from the "losers' bench."
Linda
Dear Nana, I had surgery on 7/19. I thought I was going to die on the table. I was so scared. I am here and alive and so far I feel great. I will pray for you. I know you will do fine. Remember they don't want to lose anybody and will do everything in their power to help you make it through. I am a smoker and have asthma I thought I would end up on a respirator post op. I didn't. The anesthesiologist told me he would take good care of me. Good luck, God Bless see you on the losing side. Carol
Linda, I am sure your surgery will go just fine. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family through your surgery and recovery. Just remember, you are in the hands of a really great surgeon and you will be just fine. I didn't have Dr Scott as my surgeon but I had his partner in St Louis, Dr De La Torre, and them are 2 of the best surgeons around.
I will keep the loser's bench nice and cool for you with lots of water.
