Not quite a year later.....

but I had my one year post-op visit with Dr. Richardson today. I'm down 99 lbs!! Which makes me 2 lbs from my personal goal of a normal BMI. I'm wearing size 10's, so I'm happy. All of my bloodwork came back normal. YAY!! Also a I got a bonus surprise today at Dr. Richardson's office: I got to meet Sherrie B from here at the July and MO OH boards. She looks awesome!!! Wish we couldn've visited more - but they were shooing me into the exam room. Dr. Richardson highly recommended a Dr. Francel for plastic surgery, and gave me his card. So I guess I'll see how much I can't afford that! Sorry I have been MIA. We're mostly moved to Sullivan now, and finally have a contract on our other house. So we're working this week in getting all the rest of our things out of the old house and moved here to the new one. I'll be glad to be done moving!! So not much going on other than that. Congrats on your WLS success!! We need an updated pic to show your new body!! I think I'm done...I just seem to be stuck at my current weight...I'm not complaining but I really want to lose another 15-20 lbs. Kelli 255/265/150?

Way to go Traci! Glad to hear your labs came back okay. We try hard. You know where I am so you can always stop by and say hello. Let us know when you get completely moved. I just live in St. Clair so we are neighbors. I've lost 104 lbs and my gallbladder so things are going along. Weight loss is slow but I'm still losing. My one year followup is in September. Will do Pat! Congrats on your 104 gone!! Weight loss is slow here too, but I have lost 20 lbs in the last 6 months, about 10 lbs every 3 months or so. Not too shabby really. I'm so close to goal, that if it took me 6 months to lose another 10, I'd be very happy. We have about another load or two to move over and we're done. WHEW - I ain't ever doin' this again!!

Glad to hear you are doing so well! I was freakin out because my loss seemed low but your post reminded me about keeping an eye on the big picture....8/1/05 will be 6 months for me and my loss this last month has just completely stagnated.... Eileen

Oh yeah, my weight loss all but about stopped at 5 months post. However, it did start backup, just at a much slower pace. Totally and completely normal. Do you post on your surgery month's board? I post on the July 2004 board and we all hit the weight loss slow down at the same time. If nothing else, it helped us all feel better, and normal, to post with others going through the same thing at the same time. Hang in there - you're not done losing yet!! I have only lost 20 lbs in the last 6 months, but without this surgery, I wouldn't have lost ANY of this weight!! So I'm gonna take what I can get and be very happy!
