I have a date!!

I am totally for joy. I had my surgical consult with Dr. Scott this afternoon, and I have a date for surgery. I have been for hours now. I thought for sure it would be a month away. Imagine my shock and pleasure when they said the 26th. They meant July 26th. I couldn't believe it. Pre-op class and tests will be done on 7/21. Dr. Scott, Natalie and everyone else we met with today were great. My husband went with me. They spent a lot of time answering our questions, and they were very open and honest. They are the best!! I still feel like I am being guided toward this surgery. So many things have come together in the last few months, and it will only be two months from when I submitted my application to when I have surgery. I feel truly blessed. I know many on these boards have been battling for surgery for a long time. I wish everyone great success, and I hope you al get dates soon!! I have been so happy since I got my date that I am exhausted. Off to for me quite soon. I just wanted to share this good news with my MO family and thank all of you for your encouragement. Peggy, Thanks so much for your kind words. I'm glad you have a surgery date too. Isn't it great? I need to update my profile, but I have spent an hour answering messages from the various boards. I am having fun now I should remember all of this fun the day after surgery, when I may not feel my best. I am so excited to be starting this journey.
