I am new...encouragement appreciated :)

I am new to this site, my father suggested it-as he had RNY through New Start in St Louis a year or two ago.....I have read and read and looked at pics and spent the last 2 days pouring over the incredible amount of info on this site. I am not sure of my insurance coverage...but have emailed the New Start program to get everything started. I am 30, divorced, mother of a 9 y/o little girl. I am 5' 7", 368 lbs.....just moved back to Cape Girardeau for a new job. I am-of course-miserable...and think I have gained at least 20 lbs since moving the end of march.....the new job is stressful. (much less leaving family and friends behind) I really have no idea why I'm rambling....(except that I am prone to it...hehe) but any suggestions or encouraging words you could share would be appreciated more than you know! I don't really know the protocol for beginning my journey..... Take care, and hugs to all... Robyn

Welcome to the site. I have to tell you that I have had nothing but good things come out of this website. I wanted to say that you are in good company. I am glad that you are finally making the choice to do the surgery because as a fellow (fatty) we both know that we have tried everything before. I am having my consult with my surgeon tommorrow and I am pretty excited about it. Just one step closer to where I want to be. I am waiting for insurance to approve but I think I will eventually get approved. Anyway I am excited for you and hope that you enjoy this website. I love going on the chat room on obesityhelp.com they have really helped me alot. When I have questions or I just need to rant someone is always in there to help me or calm my nerves. Good luck, Penni
