One month post-surgery appt w endocrinologist

I"m one month post-surgery and I met with my endocrinologist today. I'm already off all my diabetes pills and had reduced my insulin from 40 units to 20 units. He knocked me down to 15 units starting today. Depending on how my sugars are for the next month, he's going to begin tapering me off insulin altogether, 5 units at a time. It sounds like I could be totally off insulin in two months. His nurse had a list of all the meds I was on prior to my surgery. There were nearly 15 of them. Now I'm only on two plus the insulin. It's been an awesome day.
